What a great, fun book to browse through. I'm a lifelong Disney nerd and even I picked up a goodly amount of things about Mickey, his creation and the studio that I didn't know. A very easy and entertaining read from start to finish. Highly, highly recommended for any casual or serious Disney fan.Rating a book one-star because it isn't in e-format is silly, says nothing about the content of the book and is a disservice to the community of Disney and Mickey fans.

Jim is a great author and historian. Quite the gentleman too, should you ever be lucky enough to meet him. I really enjoyed this book and I know you will too. Consider all of Jim's books. I know you will not be disappointed.
This book has lots of great information that I've never heard about Mickey Mouse before. It is obviously very thoroughly researched.
Jim Korkis has earned his reputation for his great interest and research in all things Disney! The Book of Mouse, A celebration of Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse', is another feather in his cap! A thorough and fascinating look at Mickey, on his 85th Birthday! If you are a fan, or just interested in animation history this book is a must have! Excellent!
As an ex-Disney artist who had the honor of working with Mickey during my time at the studio it is wonderful to see this book. As with all Korkis' books there is so much here to devour it is a delight for the avid Disney fan and historian. But written so that anybody with just a passing interest could enjoy. A must for your Disney shelf.
I love all of Jim Korkis' books and this one is added to my collection of treasures. His personal knowledge and thorough research make him a wonderful historian of Disney information. I would recommend this and all of Jim's books to anyone interested in Walt Disney history. I had the pleasure of meeting him and marveled at the information he has at the tip of his tongue, plus he's a really nice guy )
While probably not tons of new information for serious Disney fans, it's great to have it gathered and organized in one place. Neatly laid out in to-the-point bite size segments without the psychobabble too many books indulge in. It's a celebration of our affection for one of the most influential icons of our time from nostalgia to Mickey's continued influence. A detailed reference that's fun.
The "but" part. I wish this could have been a "coffee table" book. It cries for graphics. When it talks about changes in Mickey's eyes and general appearance I wanted references right there! I wanted to see various mentioned Mickey merchandise, the hot air balloon and so much more. Not that we haven't see all that in many books, but this is THE Mickey book.
This book on Mickey Mouse by Jim Korkis is just as outstanding as I had hoped it would be. Although I have read some of the info and stories by Jim and others throughout the years, it is wonderful to have all this information readily available in one book. I think Jim accomplished the near impossible by balancing a fun-facts book with a book that Mickey Mouse fanatics can use as a handy reference guide. My main interest in Mickey is the cartoons - mainly the Walt Disney era of 1928 - 1953. I have much enjoyed watching all these shorts over the years, so I much enjoyed Jim's info on each. I also enjoyed his info on the rarely seen, or thought of, appearances of Mickey - such as his "first commercial" Mickey's Surprise Party, his appearance in the MGM 1934 film Hollywood Party, and the non-Disney 1968 anti-Vietnam short "Mickey Mouse In Vietnam". I have watched all three of these many times and I still enjoy them for what they represent after all these years. If you have any interest in Mickey Mouse, Walt Disney, or Disney history in general, you will be very happy with this book.
